The bodies of two sergeants who went missing on the night of a failed coup in Turkey on July 15, 2016 were recently found in Ankara.
The remains of sergeants Hasan K. and Recep L. were discovered buried in a pit.
According to a report by the Sol Duyu news website, the two men were executed after their hands and feet were bound, a method often used by Turkey’s Hizbullah terrorist organization.
The graves were found when a man saw pieces of a military uniform in a hole dug by his dog. An autopsy was performed in Ankara, and the remains were identified from the soldiers’ dog tags.
Meanwhile, a recent report by the Turkish Ministry of Interior Affairs revealed that more than 100,000 weapons went missing after the July 15, 2016 coup attempt.
