A number Islamic books by Fethullah Gulen were seized along with some magazines, CDs and a newspaper issue were seized as evidence for organized crime in Turkey’s Balikesir.
According to local media, an Edremit man, identified as A.L.K., was arrested on charges of membership to the Gulen movement. Police made a search at his home and seized copies of some books written by Gulen, several copies the now-banned publications like Sizinti magazine and Zaman newspaper.
Among the seized materials are also CDs featuring Gulen’s faith-based speeches.
Turkish government accuses Gulenists of being behind the July 15, 2016 failed coup while the latter denies involvement. More than 90,000 people were put in pre-trial detention over Gulen links so far.
Zaman and Sizinti were earlier shuttered over Gulen ties.
