The Turkish Consulate General in Amsterdam’s Museumplein on was hit on Saturday night by an incendiary device that caused a small fire, BBC Turkish service reported.
The fire was extinguished shortly after the attack, with no injuries reported.
A suspect has been apprehended and taken into custody by Dutch police.
The authorities have released no information about the identity of the suspect or their motive.
A photo taken after the attack shows a homemade device consisting of three gas canisters in front of the building, believed to be the cause of the fire.
