Turkey has demanded the extradition of a total of 452 people from 83 countries over their alleged links to the Gülen group, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Nov. 14.
Speaking at the budget debate of the parliament on Wednesday, the minister said that a total of 104 Gülenists in 21 countries have been brought to Turkey since July 15, 2016.
Also, tens of schools and language courses that are established by the Gülen group were closed in 21 countries, while some of them were handed over to Maarif Foundation in 16 countries. Some 23 percentage of the foreign ministry staff were dismissed due to Gülen connection, the minister said.
The Turkish government accuses the Gülen group of masterminding a coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
The Group denies any involvement.
