Turkish police on Friday blocked a march organised by a group of women organizations in Istanbul. The march was an attempt to mark the International Women’s Day, Reuters reported.
Photos released by the agency show that police completely block entrance to İstanbul’s famed Taksim street to to prevent women from walking down Istiklal Avenue, in the heart of the city.
