Turkish police on Wednesday detained 14 high ranking members of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) who reportedly had recently moved from Syria to Turkey, the Diken news website reported.
According to the report the suspects were exposed when they were trying to reach ISIL militants already living in Turkey.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) claimed in February that at least 85 militants from ISIL have moved from Syria to Turkey with their families.
