A Turkish soldier has died and another one has been injured in a bomb explosion during military training in the western Izmir province, T24 news portal reported on Thursday.
The explosion occurred during a military unit’s demolition training in Urla district.
The injured soldier was taken to the Ege University Hospital for treatment.
The Ministry of Defense in a statement following the incident offered condolences to the fallen soldier’s family, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and the nation.
“We also wish a speedy recovery to our injured comrade in arms,” the statement further read.
