Turkey has repatriated a total of 110 foreign terrorists since Nov. 11, according to an Interior Ministry statement, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
Turkey has been sending foreign fighters to their countries of origin as part of its ramped-up efforts to repatriate terrorists.
According to data compiled by Anadolu, in the Nov. 11- Dec.19 period 21 German, 13 French, five British, two Belgian, two Dutch, two Moroccan, two Kosovar, one Danish, one US, one Greek, one Irish, one Australian and some other nationals of foreign jihadists were deported from Turkey.
The wives and children of the foreign fighters were sent home along with them.
The ministry did not mention if all the foreign terrorists were linked to the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
There are some 1,200 foreign ISIL members being held in Turkish prisons, 300 of them from Turkey’s current anti-terror operation in northern Syria, including relatives of ISIL members, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu reported on Nov. 4.
