Barış Terkoğlu, the news director of the Oda TV news portal, was sent to prison late on Wednesday, according to Turkish media.
Terkoğlu was reportedly put in pre-trial detention over his reports regarding the 34 Turkish soldiers who were killed in airstrikes in Syria’s Idlib on Thursday.
He was detained by Turkish police in a house raid early on Wednesday morning, according to journalist Barış Pehlivan.
