Turkey’s coronavirus cases reached 157,814 with an increase of 987 on Monday, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
The coronavirus death toll increased by 29 to 4,369, the chart indicated.
Turkey received 21,492 test results on Monday.
Of the confirmed cases, 120,015 are recoveries, while 759 are patients being treated in intensive care.
“The number of recovered patients has excessed 120,000. The need for intensive care support is gradually declining. The success depends on the coherent efforts by 83 million population,” the minister tweeted, calling on everyone to comply with the measures aimed at containing the pandemic.
The government has already eased some of the coronavirus measures imposed in mid-March.
