Turkey on Saturday registered 1,459 new coronavirus cases, amounting to a significant upward deviation from the recent pattern, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
The total number of cases reached 176,677 with today’s cases, while the death toll increased by 14 to 4,792, the chart indicated.
Turkey has conducted more than 2.5 million tests so far, and more than 150,000 people with the virus were declared recovered.
“The increase in the numbers warns those who do not comply with the measures,” Koca tweeted, adding that it would affect all of the population soon.
The number of patients being treated at the intensive cares was also increased by 20 to 684 in the last 24 hours.
