Arlet Natali Avazyan, an Armenian-origin Turkish human rights activist, was briefly detained at Adana Şakirpaşa airport on Wednesday.
According to her tweets, she was denied a boarding pass at check in and later was detained by the airport police. She later tweeted that she was released from custody.
Early in 2020, she launched a fundraising campaign and raised €50,000 in less than 24 hours for a boy with cancer whose father is in jail over alleged links to the Gülen group.
Turkey accuses the Gülen grup of orchestrating a 2016 coup attempt, although it denies any involvement.
