Trial for pro-Kurdish journalists starts

2 pro-Kurdish journalists appeared before a Turkish court on May 8 over “membership in a terrorist organization.”

İshak Karakaş, Editor-in-Chief of Halkın Nabzı newspaper is being tried in İstanbul, while Şerife Oruç, reporter for now-closed DİHA agency, stands trial in Batman province.

Both of them are accused of having membership in a terrorist organization and spreading terror propaganda through their reports and writings.
