Following a suicide bombing on Wednesday in the northern Syrian town of Manbij that killed 20 people including five US service members, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said the attack might be aimed at affecting the US decision to withdraw from Syria.
Erdoğan made a statement to the press hours after the explosion and said the number of casualties in the attack was 20, five of which were American soldiers.
“This attack might be intended to affect the US decision to withdraw,” Erdoğan said in reference to the Trump administration’s decision to leave northern Syria.
