Ali Ataç, a 19-year-old youngster who reportedly suffered from smoke poisoning at his cell in Metris prison, died after 40 days in intensive care, according to HDP deputy Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu.
Turkish authorities claimed he suffered from smoke poisoning following a fire in prison.
Gergerlioğlu said Ataç’s family was notified by the authorities nineteen days following the incident.
