A VIDEO OF President Recep Tayyip Erdogan losing his temper with young graduate teachers has gone viral.
Erdogan lost his temper when the persistent young graduates asked for an appointment with him as they sought to be hired as permanent teachers.
This was during an election rally in Erdogan’s hometown of Rize. Turkey will hold local elections on March 31.
In the video, Erdogan seems to be calm in the beginning but when the candidates started saying their request louder, that is when the President lost his cool.
He was heard saying: “We support education graduates as hiring them as contracted and honorary teachers but you don’t know now what you want from who? You all run from exams to exams, you can’t get an appointment without hard work.”
In Turkey, over 400 000 education graduates are waiting for appointments for years and Erdogan’s harsh remarks angered many teachers.
After Erdogan’s rather harsh comments, several people took to Twitter. @dokuz8haber shared Erdogan’s tension with teachers while @cnytckn replied: “This is the man you voted for! Go ahead please and vote again for this person on March 31 election!”. “How beautiful he (Erdogan) mocked the people who voted for him. Now you must tolerate his no brain language,” @jindacane tweeted.

At the same rally at his hometown, Erdogan gave party supporters a piece of good news that the electricity price will be 12 % discounted for livestock, poultry and greenhouse cultivation for farmers as an irrigation subscriber.
Erdogan also announced his government bought a new drilling vessel, named as Yavuz. “After the completion of maintenance and repair work Yavuz will start the search for natural gas and oil in the Mediterranean,” he announced.
The announcement was viewed as a show-of-force and a determination that Greece and other powers cannot conduct oil-gas research in Turkish waters of the sea.
The Turkish army also exercised its largest naval exercise in its history in the last week, carrying out drills with corvettes, frigates and submarines in the eastern Mediterranean, Aegean and the Black Sea, Aegean menace Greece and Southern Cyprus.
Erdogan continues his election rallies ahead of the local elections, despite large criticism from Turks that the president should protect his impartiality and should not throw 200-gram tea bags from his bus onto crowds to get votes.
