Turks removed publicity poster of the French magazine Le Point which, in its latest issue, has described Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as dictator, in Avignon province of France.
A video shared in social media showing a group of Turkish speaking people reacts to staff who put the Le Point’s posters on billboards. Following the reactions, it was seen that the staff started to remove ads.
The cover of the Le Point with an Erdoğan photo reads: “Dictator. Until where Erdoğan will go.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s spokesman, İbrahim Kalın, on Friday reacted Le Point’s cover in a Twitter message: “A French magazine called President Erdoğan dictator. We know these attacks. We know their goals. Our nation and all oppressed nations see what is going on. The days where Turkey get orders from you is over. You can not bring those days back by calling [Erdoğan] ‘Dictator’.”
