Mehtap Şentürk, a 34-year-old Turkish woman with 85 percent disability rating, has been put in pre-trial detention over his alleged links to Turkey’s Gulen group, which the Turkish government accuses of masterminding a coup attempt in 2016.
According to Turkish journalist Sevinç Özarslan, Şentürk is wheelchair-bound and thus unable to perform daily functions due to constant pain and discomfort.
The purge victim women suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system, which is the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves.
